Differentiate Your Salon Services By Creating A VIP Experience

As a beauty or barber professional, the services you offer are only 50% of the game. The client experience is the other 50%. If you want to stand out, then the devil is in the details.

Here’s a list of small changes you can make at your salon to give clients the VIP treatment.

#1 OFFER FREE WI-FI.

Make sure your clients are never bored – display your log-in information on a fun sign at the entrance and in front of the chair or table.

#2 OFFER “FANCY” DRINKS.

It’s not expensive to offer cucumber infused water or flavored bubbly water. Water is FREE! If you put it in a fancy dispenser with some fun glasses, cups and straws, it feels like a treat for clients and it makes you look professional. ; )

#3 LET THEM CHARGE THEIR PHONES.

A dead phone is stressful for clients and the last thing you want them to feel during your appointment is stress. Get a couple chargers (iphone and android) and make it easy for them to charge their phone so they can start feeling relaxed again.

#4 GIVE THEM PRIVACY.

A few curtains can make a huge difference. When you are working with a small space and you have multiple shampoo bowls or pedicure chairs, throwing up a few curtains will make each client feel like they have plenty of personal space.

#4 MAKE THEIR SELFIES LOOK AMAZING.

Hang a mirror that is always available for selfies. Make sure it has great lighting and display your Instagram handles so they know who to tag.
