Clients don\u2019t recognize the charge on their bank statement.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>They may see the words, \u201cStripe, Ca\u201d or something similar, once they are charged for a service. \u201cStripe\u201d is StyleSeat\u2019s payment processing partner.<\/li>\n<li>Sometimes the tip appears as a separate charge from the service amount.<\/li>\n<li>If you charge your client more than a day after the service,\u00a0TELL YOUR CLIENT, the charge will show up later on their card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>#2 Clients don\u2019t think they should be charged for canceling late or not showing up.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>If you enforce a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.styleseat.com\/blog\/en-blog-should-i-charge-for-no-shows-and-late-cancellation\/\">\u201cNo-Show\/Late Cancellation\u201d<\/a>\u00a0policy, a client might file a complaint against this charge.<\/li>\n<li>You did the right thing here.\u00a0It is common practice to charge for no-shows and late cancellation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>PROTECT YOURSELF\u00a0&#8212;<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0make sure to always gather evidence from the scheduled appointment.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Save text message and emails between you and the client that prove you reached out to them before charging them.<\/li>\n<li>When clients visit your salon,\u00a0have them sign a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com\/pin\/324962929338618643\/\">Customer Intake Form<\/a>.\u201d In this form, you can gather all their contact information AND highlight your No-Show\/Late Cancellation policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>#3 Clients aren\u2019t happy with their services or the price.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some unhappy clients try and get their money back through the bank instead of working it out with you.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Communicate with your client\u00a0&#8212; make sure they are happy and they know the full price.<\/li>\n<li>If you add products or services in the salon,\u00a0make sure your client knows the final total cost.<\/li>\n<li>If they are unhappy with the service, offer to fix it.<\/li>\n<li>Take before and after photos as evidence that the service was completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>#5 Clients are disputing a charge from another vendor.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this case, the bank may put a temporary hold on all your client\u2019s recent transactions until the case is resolved. You can\u00a0ask your client to contact their bank to remove the hold on your transaction if you believe it is a mistake.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>#6 Clients pay in cash but their card still gets charged.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>If your client pays in cash, you need to mark \u201cpaid in cash\u201d during checkout.<\/li>\n<li>If you forget, clients will get charged twice and you need to refund them before they decide to take it up with the bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>#7 Some clients are frauds.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, some clients use stolen credit cards to book services.
