Thirty minutes in, someone is screen-sharing a regional performance dashboard and asking how many locations you are forecasting.

You have one. One room, one table, one client at four who books every three weeks like clockwork. Somewhere in there you notice the price still has not come up.

That gap — between what the software is built for and what your week looks like — is where most searches for Zenoti alternatives start.

Zenoti does not publish a price, so the only honest way to compare Zenoti alternatives for a small beauty business is to ask two questions: what will this cost me every month, and can it send me a client I did not already have. Zenoti answers the first with a quote after a demo, and the second with no consumer marketplace. StyleSeat publishes one price, $35 a month, and spends millions a year in ads on pros’ behalf.

Short version

Zenoti’s price is not published — demo required. Multi-location pricing is customized, and its card processing rate is not published either.

Zenoti runs no consumer marketplace, so a new client has to know your name before Zenoti can help you book her.

Zenoti includes messaging access but bills it by consumption, with optional base packs, so that line moves with how much you text.

StyleSeat is $35 a month on promotion for $19/month. New Client Connection is 30% of a new client’s first service, capped at $50, once per that client ever, and Top Pros using New Client Connection average $9,800 a year in new-client revenue.

Zenoti’s price is not published, and that tells you who it is built for

There is no number on Zenoti’s pricing page. You request a demo, and a quote follows. Multi-location pricing is customized on top of that, and the card processing rate is not published either.

That is not a trick. It is what enterprise software does, because a fifteen-location group and a three-room med spa do not cost the same to serve. But it means you cannot budget before the call, and you cannot line Zenoti up beside two other options on a Sunday night and decide. You spend an hour of a working week to learn a number.

Zenoti is built for chains, and that is a genuine strength

If you run commission stylists, payroll, real inventory with stock levels, or more than one location, Zenoti is very good at that and StyleSeat does not do it. Neither do most alternatives a solo pro looks at.

That concession is the whole reason this comparison has an answer. Zenoti, Meevo, Phorest, Boulevard and Mangomint are built around a business with staff, a front desk and a product wall. StyleSeat is built around a pro who is the entire business. Staff calendars are supported today at no extra cost, and small salons with a receptionist can share calendars, in beta — but if payroll and stock levels are what keep you up, go where those live.

What you pay

Zenoti

StyleSeat

Subscription

Not published — quote after a demo

$35/month, currently running a promotion at $19

Card processing

Not published

2.5% + $0.30 card present; 2.6% + $0.30 card on file

Consumer marketplace

None

Yes — 74M+ visits a year, 2M+ clients searching

Text and email

Included access, billed by consumption

Email and text marketing in the base price

New-client fee

None — no marketplace to charge one for

30% of the first service, capped at $50, once per client

Built for

Multi-location groups

The pro who is the whole business, and small salons

Zenoti from zenoti.com/pricing-zenoti, © 2026; pricing is quote-gated. StyleSeat from its own pricing and help center. Verified August 31, 2026.

Most Zenoti alternatives cannot bring you anyone new either

Zenoti runs no consumer marketplace, and neither do DaySmart, Meevo, Phorest, Rosy, Zolmi or Mangomint. They manage the clients you have beautifully. They cannot introduce you to one you do not.

If your book is full, buy on admin and reporting. If Tuesday afternoon has been empty since spring, this is the entire comparison, and only five names can do anything about it: StyleSeat, Booksy, Fresha, Mindbody and Vagaro.

Then compare what a new client costs on each. Booksy’s Boost takes 30% of a Boost client’s first visit with no cap. Fresha takes 20% one-time with no cap, and its published $6 per client is a floor, not a ceiling. StyleSeat takes 30% too — but it stops at $50, once per client, and never again.

Build the monthly number yourself before any demo

Whatever quote you are handed, run it through four lines: subscription, per-user charges, messaging, and processing on your real volume. A quote that answers only the first line is not a price.

Processing is the line pros forget, so give it its own row. On StyleSeat, $6,000 of card-present volume across 60 appointments is 2.5% plus $0.30 each: $150 plus $18, so $168 that month. Zenoti does not publish a rate, so that line stays blank until you have a quote.

Acquisition is the last line, and on StyleSeat a new client from the marketplace pays for herself on the first visit. A $150 facial is $150 in services, a $45 fee and a $30 tip, so you take home $135 that day, assuming a 20% tip. Every appointment she books after that carries no new-client fee. On a $200 service the fee stops at the $50 cap: $200 in services, $50, a $40 tip, so you take home $190, assuming a 20% tip.

Your Thursday is not a dashboard

Somewhere in a comparison like this, the actual job disappears.

The job is the woman who comes in with her shoulders around her ears and leaves forty minutes lighter. It is knowing the 2pm always runs long because she talks, so you stopped booking a tight turn behind her. It is telling from the doorway that someone has had a week. That took years, and no platform on any shortlist can do a minute of it.

Software should defend those hours: send the reminder, offer the cancelled slot to the waitlist, close out the ticket. So ask which one hands back the most time at the table — and which one is out finding people while you are standing at it.

How this works on StyleSeat

New Client Connection sends you requests from clients who found you in the marketplace and have never booked you. You have 24 hours to accept or decline — less if the appointment is sooner, so answer fast. The fee is charged after the service, on the service cost only, never on the tip, and you can turn it off whenever you want.

The marketing sits inside the $35/$19: email and text marketing, client reminders, the automated booking assistant, business analytics, promotions, the Loyalty Program, the AI Social Post Builder and review management. The trial is 21 days, and booking, New Client Connection and Smart Pricing fees are waived. Here is how StyleSeat powers your business.

Questions pros ask

How much does Zenoti cost?

Zenoti does not publish pricing — a demo is required and a quote follows, with multi-location pricing customized. Its card processing rate is not published either, and messaging access is billed by consumption with optional base packs, so ask for that line in writing before you sign.

Is Zenoti worth it for a solo esthetician or a single suite?

Usually not. Zenoti is built for multi-location groups, and its strengths — payroll, real inventory, commission structures, cross-location reporting — are things a one-room business does not have. If you are the whole business, a $35-a-month platform with a marketplace answers more of your week.

Which Zenoti alternatives can actually bring me new clients?

Only the ones running a consumer marketplace: StyleSeat, Booksy, Fresha, Mindbody and Vagaro. Zenoti, DaySmart, Meevo, Phorest, Rosy, Zolmi and Mangomint run none. StyleSeat spends millions a year in ads on pros’ behalf, and Top Pros using New Client Connection average 120+ new clients a year.

What does StyleSeat cost, and how does the 30% fee work?

$35 a month, currently running a promotion at $19, with card-present processing at 2.5% + $0.30. New Client Connection is 30% of a new client’s first service, capped at $50, charged once per that client and never again, after the appointment. Clients pay a $2.35 booking fee, not you.
