StyleSeat caps that at $50 and charges it once per client, ever. Booksy publishes no cap on Boost.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Both run a marketplace. StyleSeat spends millions a year on ads pointed at pros and draws 74M+ visits a year from 2M+ clients searching across 16,000 US cities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-styleseat-vs-booksy-fees\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">StyleSeat vs Booksy, every fee side by side<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two lines people quote at you are the two that matter least. The subscriptions sit $5.01 apart (unless you opt into StyleSeat&#8217;s offer, where you save $11\/month), about $60-$132 in savings over a year, and card-present processing is 2.5% + $0.30 against Booksy&#8217;s 2.49% + $0.10 \u2014 on a $100 charge, $2.80 versus $2.59. Twenty-one cents. Both are optional that way: New Client Connection is opt-out-able on Premium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">StyleSeat&#8217;s New Client Connection fee is 30% of a new client&#8217;s first service, capped at $50, charged once per client and only after the appointment is finished. Booksy publishes no cap on Boost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cap puts a ceiling on your worst case. On a $250 balayage the 30% fee you pay would be $75, so you pay $50 and keep $190 with a 20% tip \u2014 the fee is calculated on the service and never touches the tip. Top Pros using New Client Connection average $9,800 a year in new-client revenue and 120+ new clients a year, and StyleSeat&#8217;s consumer app carries 4.91 stars across 288,553 ratings \u2014 an app your client will not open cannot send you anyone. You don&#8217;t. It&#8217;s charged at booking, it never comes out of your payout, and it&#8217;s the same $2.35 whether they&#8217;re booking a cut or six hours of extensions. What it buys is skin in the game \u2014 StyleSeat finds that this drops no shows by over 80%. It isn&#8217;t refunded if they cancel on you, though it is refunded if <em>you<\/em> cancel outside your policy window, and a proper reschedule doesn&#8217;t get charged twice.
