We recently conducted a study to discover which cities are the most beauty-obsessed<\/a> by determining the number of star ratings for different beauty businesses. From spas to barber shops and blowout bars to nail salons, we wanted to know which cities offer the best bang for each buck you spend on beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To find out, we reviewed Yelp data in over 30 beauty and spa related categories and compared the average star rating to the average price level. Using this data, we determined which major U.S. cities gave beauty service clients the best bang for their buck. Read on to discover what we found. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ranked: Cities with the Best-Value Beauty Treatments<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To accomplish our ranking, we calculated a combined ranking of cities with a low price level <\/strong>and high rating across all beauty categories, which are listed in the methodology at the end of this post. Price levels were weighed heavier than average star ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Salt Lake City, Pittsburgh, and Sacramento boast the lowest average price levels for the highest-quality beauty treatments across the country. In Salt Lake City, you\u2019ll get the best bang for your buck, with the average beauty treatment across all categories holding a 4.1-star rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In Pittsburgh and Sacramento, beauty services have an average 4-star rating. However, Pittsburgh in particular boasts the lowest average price level for beauty services across the country. The most expensive? New Orleans, Las Vegas, and Dallas top the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
